Our Hamilton County Veterans Corp 2025 Community Resource Fair With A Focus On Our Military Veteran Community October 11th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club Was A Huge Success!!

This past Saturday the Hamilton County Veterans Corp, with assistance from the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, hosted a very successful Community Resource Fair with a focus on our Military Veteran community (MVC). They brought in 52 tables of resources and services who were able to connect with the 250-300 guests who came through the Boys and Girls Club in Noblesville.
Hamilton County Veterans Corp Secretary Lynn Epperson said, “Being able to connect just one person in their time of need to the services or resources that will address their needs, is such a heartwarming experience. We are so thankful of all our resource partners for being there, caring for our community. And oh yes, we did help many more than one today….”
Even though several resource partners were unable to be there Saturday, due to fall break and the government shutdown, connections were still made as most of the resources/services work together and were able to answer questions and make the proper connections for their residents. The morning rush, which was mostly the Hamilton County Military Veteran community, lasted for 2.5 hours. Then from 12:30pm on it was a slowing flow of Hamilton County residents being helped. As the flow of guests slowed it gave time to all the resources and services to network and make even tighter bonds to better care for Hamilton County in the future.
It was a wonderful day for all involved!! Pay attention to Https://www.gsnlive.org for the next Hamilton County Community Resource Fair which will be around June 2026, and most likely will be at the Hamilton County 4H Fairgrounds, Silos at 37.

PRIOR YEARS – HAMILTON COUNTY VETERANS CORP
COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR
July 20, 2024
Noblesville Schools Community Center 1775 Field Dr, Noblesville, Indiana
We did it. Our Hamilton County Veterans Corp Community Resource Fair was a fantastic success!! We introduced 90 resources to over 400 guests and saw many smiling faces and heard many positive comments as they were leaving the event, especially from the spouses of our Veterans!!
We are already planning the event for 2025. We will be reaching out to create a team of non-profit partners with the same focus and drive so we can host 2 resource fairs, one with Good Samaritan Network (Nancy Chance) on June 6th at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds and another resource fair Oct 11th at the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club. With over 150 people manning the resource tables and over 400 guests, we need many more parking spots and these two locations offer that.
Some of the 90 Free Resources we offered included providers and outreach specialists from Federal VA Benefits, Roudebush VA Hospital, County Veteran Service Officers, Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Readiness and Employment, Military OneSource, Indiana WorkOne, County Health Department, City Health, Mental Health Wellness and Suicide Awareness, Housing, Homelessness, Insurance, Retirement, Legal, Financial, Faith Based, Education, Employment, Family Programs, HVAF of Indiana and so much more. Roudebush VA was the star resource informing us about the PACT Act’s expansion of benefits and they had teams there to register, enroll, perform toxic exposure screenings and started filing claims for disability compensation!! PLUS,,,, Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans and the DAR was onsite Honoring our Vietnam Veterans with a special gift, “A Time To Honor”. We will also had Indy Honor Flight onsite to signing up our Veterans to fly to DC to see their Memorials.
Queso’s Mexican Restaurant food trailer was in the parking lot near the building for all to get some great food from 11am till 3pm. Veterans who came visit our Hamilton County Veterans Corp booth got a coupon for Queso’s, buy one meal get yours for $12 off. The food was fantastic and we thank Queso’s for their help in making this a special day for Hamilton County!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all our Resource Vendors who made this day possible for our Hamilton County Residents!
Last year, July 8, 2023, Oh what a day this was for Hamilton County!! We had around 250 guests throughout the day who came to get answers to their questions and issues and they were not disappointed. Our 55 resource vendors took care of their needs, answered their questions and assisted them in every way possible. We helped with housing, financial, insurance issues as well as introducing them to many other resources they didn’t know they were able to receive. Jill Fewell from Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans and the DAR presented 28 free gifts of “A Time To Honor” to our Vietnam Veterans, Gary Lawrence from the Indy Honor Flight was able to enroll 25 more Veterans to go to DC to see their Memorials and the Roudebush VA Hospital was able to file 65 new benefit claims as well as enroll many more into the VA system!! We thank our resources for their efforts to make this such a special day and we thank our guests who came to get their questions answered. And we thank our special guests who came to welcome our Military Veteran community, Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt, Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen, Brig Gen (Ret) Stewart Goodwin and Senator Youngs Regional Director Monica Bowles Kozlowski. Senator Braun couldn’t make it but he did write us a letter you can see below. So,,,, Yes, it was a great day for Hamilton County and we will do this again on July 13, 2024, same location. See y’all there!!
